Results of the Analytical Writing Placement Exam and Math Advisory Exam are required prior to enrollment in classes.
Breadth courses are available at UCR Summer Sessions if students are not able to complete them during the academic year. (If you consider taking non-UCR summer school courses, make sure the courses are transferable and comparable, check the website www.assist.org.) You may also complete your final breadth course in the first quarter of your junior year along with upper division BUS core classes such as BUS 103, 106, 108 or 101.
Your program is planned individually with your advisor, and there is considerable flexibility in the order in which the courses are taken. The program shown above is typical for an entering student with a good high school background. Attendance at a Business Administration Workshop is required to submit the Business Administration Application electronically during the quarter in which the final requirements are in progress.
PLEASE NOTE -- Dropping MATH or ECON courses is an indication that these are areas of difficulty for you and it is recommended to choose another major before becoming too invested in Business Administration. Success in MATH and ECON has a positive correlation to your being successful in being admitted and completing the B.S. degree in Business Administration.
